FMS Partner MS Delta GEAR UP Launches National GEAR UP Week
Improving high school graduation rates, college preparedness, and life outcomes for Mid-South students is one of our top priorities at the Foundation. That’s why we partner with programs like Delta State’s Mississippi Delta Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP), a federal program funded by the U.S. Department of Education with the goal of increasing the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education.
This week, MS Delta GEAR UP is kicking off a series of events, and hosting Paradigm Shift, to connect more students to college prep programs, and educational resources to school districts across the state of Mississippi. Event Schedule
Tuesday, September 26 – North Bolivar School Districts
- Northside Middle 1:30 p.m.
- Northside High School 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 27 -Western Line School District
- Riverside Middle & High 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 28 & Friday, September 29 – Leland School District
- Leland Park Middle 9 a.m.
- Leland High School 10 a.m.
