Senior Executive Vice President W. Ellis Arnold III the 12th President of Hendrix College. Arnold will begin his tenure as the President of Hendrix College on December 31.
“I am honored and humbled for the opportunity to play a role in advancing the College as a national leader in engaged learning and the liberal arts,” said Arnold. “It is a privilege to work with the Hendrix community and alongside our dedicated faculty and staff and talented students. Together, we will lead the College confidently into the next decade, addressing our challenges, and seizing our opportunities with determination and optimism.”
A 1979 Hendrix graduate, Arnold received his juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law and practiced law in Little Rock from 1982 to 1990. In 1990, he was approached by then-Hendrix President Dr. Joe B. Hatcher to serve as Vice President for Development and College Relations and lead the College’s church relations, communications, fundraising, and marketing, in addition to serving as General Counsel.
In November 1996, Arnold was named President of Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., and later served as President and Head of School of Pulaski Academy in Little Rock, Ark., from 2004 until 2008, when he returned to Hendrix. He served the College as Acting President on two occasions, in addition to his current role as Senior Executive Vice President, Dean of Advancement, and General Counsel. Under his leadership, the College’s current campaign has surpassed historic fundraising levels.

Laura R. Landreaux is president and chief executive officer of Entergy Arkansas – a company that has helped power life in Arkansas for over 107 years.
Laura ensures that Entergy Arkansas meets the power needs of more than 715,000 customers every day. She is also responsible for driving the company’s financial and operational business results, customer service, safety, resource planning, economic development, employee development and regulatory and governmental affairs.
Laura became president and CEO on July 1, 2018. Her career with Entergy Arkansas began in 2007 as senior counsel, practicing regulatory law for five years. She then became manager of Regulatory Affairs for Entergy Arkansas in 2012. She went on to hold other leadership positions, including finance director and vice president of Regulatory Affairs, where she was responsible for interactions between Entergy Arkansas and the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
Prior to joining Entergy, she was an attorney for Salt River Project, a water and electricity utility in Phoenix, Arizona for four years. She joined Salt River Project after spending four years in private practice at Quarles & Brady, LLP in Phoenix, Arizona.
An active member of the Arkansas non-profit community, Landreaux currently serves as vice chairman of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce board of directors. She serves as a board member for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock College of Business and the Arkansas Research Alliance. She is a founding member of Arkansas Women in Power and a graduate of Arkansas Leadership Class XIII and Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXX. Landreaux was named the Easterseals Arkansan of the Year 2020 and has joined the Easterseals board. She was honored with the Women in Business Award in 2019 by the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas. A native of Little Rock, Landreaux earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law at Fayetteville, where she was on the Arkansas Law Review, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Kenneth Tramble has been a Monroe native since 1970. Kenneth is a 1990 graduate of Wossman High School. He enlisted in the US Army in 1991. After serving four years of active duty, Kenneth enrolled in the US Army National Guard. In 1995 Kenneth became a deputy for the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Tramble is the founder of Deputies Making a Change mentoring program. The program specializes in mentoring young men ages 9-13 with an 84% success rate. Kenneth is also on the board of directors for the Office of Juvenile Justice, both state and federal. He also works at the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office. His goal is to change at-risk youths’ lives. Kenneth’s motto is “Don’t let where you come dictate where you go in life.”
Kenneth Tramble is Deputy Sheriff in the Ouachita Parish (LA) Sheriff’s Department, where, among other activities, he coordinates an after-school mentoring program for at-risk youth, called Deputies for Change. The program serves elementary- and middle-school children throughout Ouachita Parish. His other professional experience includes work as a youth investigator for the Louisiana State Department of Corrections, an agent for a metropolitan narcotics unit, and an internal affairs investigator with the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections. Mr. Tramble has 12 years of military experience, including service as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army. Mr. Tramble is a two-time recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. He received his law enforcement training at the North Delta Police Academy and earned an associate degree in criminal justice from the American College of Technology.

Dr. Gary M. Wiltz currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Teche Action Clinic (TAC); a network of thirteen Federally Qualified Community Health Centers located in seven parishes in southwest Louisiana, with the main site in Franklin, Louisiana. A graduate of Tulane Medical School and Board Certified Internist, he began his medical career at TAC in 1982 as the Medical Director. Dr. Wiltz initially intended to fulfill his 3-year obligation to the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) in Franklin and return to his hometown of New Orleans to take a fellowship in the subspecialty of Nephrology at Tulane Medical School. However, he soon realized that this clinic and this work of serving the underserved was his divine calling. With this affirmation, he fully committed himself to TAC and over the course of the next 34 years has helped to build what has been acknowledged as one of the nation’s premiere FQHC’s.
Dr. Wiltz was appointed to serve as CEO in 2003, and since this time TAC has continued to grow. TAC was originally founded in 1974 to care for seasonal migrant sugar cane workers. In 1982, the clinic had been without a doctor for 6 months, had a staff of only 8, an operating budget of $100,000 and was in serious risk of being defunded and closed. Without TAC, its patients would have been forced to seek care through the Charity Hospital system some 50 and 100 miles away. TAC now serves over 25,000 patients at 13 sites and its mobile unit, has approximately 200 employees and an operating budget of $20 million. While the growth and success of TAC is often attributed to Dr. Wiltz, he often reminds the community that TAC’s growth and success is attributed to the Board and TAC employees’ support for the mission and vision of TAC, its patient centered approach to care, and community engagement.
In addition to serving as an assistant Clinical Professor in Internal Medicine at Tulane and Louisiana State University Schools of Medicine, Dr. Wiltz has held many positions of leadership at the local, state and national level, including immediate past Chair of the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), Chairman of the Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) of Louisiana; President of the Southwest AHEC; Chairman of the Louisiana Primary Care Association (LPCA); and Board Member and Chairman of the National Advisory Council for the NHSC. He also served on many local, state, and national healthcare committees, including two Governor’s Health Care Transition Teams and Healthcare Reform projects, as LPCA’s Clinical Director, Secretary, Treasurer and more recently as co-chair of Governor John Bel Edwards’ Health Care Transition Team.
Among his many honors, Dr. Wiltz was named Medical Director of the Year 1994-95 by LPCA, selected as a national recipient of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s prestigious Community Health Leadership Award, and was featured on the Discovery Health Channel’s program, “Bayou Medicine.” He is actively involved in policy development and policy discussion, including serving as guest speaker and panelist on Louisiana Public Square, C-SPAN, USA TODAY and NPR, He also served as panelist on a Health Care Summit held at the White House, discussing health care reform and the Affordable Health Care Act.
In his spare time, Dr. Wiltz and Diane, his wife of 43 years, enjoy the theatre, the Saints, travelling and spending time with their two children, Jonas Wiltz, M.D., and Suzanne Wiltz and three grandchildren.

Theodore H. Bunting, Jr. most recently served as group president, utility operations, at Entergy Corporation, an integrated energy company, from 2012 until his retirement in 2017. Before that, he was senior vice president and chief accounting officer at Entergy from 2007 to 2012, and chief financial officer of several subsidiaries from 2000 to 2007. He held other management positions of increasing responsibility in accounting and operations at Entergy since joining the company in 1983. Mr. Bunting is also a director of Unum Group, a publicly traded insurance company providing group long-term disability insurance, employee benefits, individual disability insurance and special risk reinsurance, Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives, Inc., a publicly traded infrastructure construction company, and of NiSource Inc., one of the largest natural gas utility companies in the United States.

Candace Randle Person is an award-winning PR professional with over 15 years of experience and expertise in communications and public relations, which she leverages in her current role as Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Communications for the Office of Congressman Adriano Espaillat of New York’s 13th congressional district, which includes Harlem, East Harlem, West Harlem, Hamilton Heights, Washington Heights, Inwood, Marble Hill, and the north-west Bronx.
Previously, Candace held a similar role with the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), where she served as the Director of Communications and National Media. Prior to the CBC, Candace worked as the Director of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs for The RLJ Companies where she developed a series of multi-tiered communications strategies to promote the company and its chairman, Robert L. Johnson (founder of Black Entertainment Television – BET), and the diverse business operations within the RLJ corporate portfolio. Her career highlights include having served as part of the political team for Hillary Clinton, as a campaign writer and briefer for Al Gore, as well as an aide in the United States Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, and in the Office of the Governor for her home state of Arkansas.
During her career, Candace has worked extensively in the political, public affairs, and media arenas, and has earned coverage in some of today’s foremost leading news outlets that include The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, CNN, FORTUNE Magazine, Forbes, Univision, the BBC and The Washington Post. She has been recognized by PRWeek, one of the industry’s top trade publications as one of its “40 Under 40: New Trailblazers” (2013); The Network Journal as a “40 Under Forty” Achievement Award recipient (2014); she has been featured in the High Profile section of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette (2014) for her work in politics and public affairs; and recognized by ESSENCE magazine as a D.C. Power Player (2014).
Candace graduated with leadership honors from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and History, and she received a Master of Public Administration (MPA), summa cum laude, from the Institute of Government at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She currently resides in Maryland with her husband and their twins.

Judge Carlos E. Moore, a Moss Point, Mississippi native, is the Managing Partner of The Cochran Firm – Mississippi Delta based in Grenada, Mississippi. In July of 2017, he was appointed as the first African-American Municipal Judge Pro Tem for the City of Clarksdale, Mississippi and in May of 2020 he was named the first African-American Municipal Judge Pro Tem for the City of Grenada, Mississippi. A graduate of Moss Point High School (Salutatorian), the University of South Alabama, and The Florida State University College of Law, Judge Moore also completed course work at Rice University in Houston, Texas as well as the University of Mississippi School of Law in Oxford.
Judge Moore is very active in several bar associations, including the American Bar Association, National Bar Association, American Association for Justice, The Mississippi Bar, Magnolia Bar Association, Mississippi Association for Justice, and the Grenada County Bar Association. He is a past Vice President of the National Bar Association, he is also a past Deputy General Counsel for the NBA, a past Deputy Chief of Staff to the NBA President, past NBA Region V Director, past Board Member at Large as well as a Past Chairman of the Young Lawyers Division of the National Bar Association. Carlos also served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Grenada County Bar Association from 2003-2007 and has been a member of the NBA Board of Governors as well as the board of the Mississippi Association for Justice for a number of years in various capacities. In 2011 after completing three years on the Mississippi Bar Ethics Committee, Moore was elected by his peers to serve a three-year term as a Commissioner of the governing board of The Mississippi Bar, which regulates all the lawyers in Mississippi.
In addition to his bar association work, Carlos is very active in his community. Besides being a 2010 graduate of Leadership Grenada, he is a member of the Grenada Rotary Club, Grenada Chamber of Commerce, 100 Black Men of Grenada, Inc. (Founding President), Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., The Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and is a board member and Founding Chair of the Grenada Unit of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta. Married to the former Natalie Herrington of Grenada, the Moores are the proud parents of one daughter, Avery Nicole, and active members of Abundant Life Assembly in Grenada where Carlos serves as General Counsel. The Moore’s have also provided college scholarships to area youth since 2006.
Before opening his own law practice in 2006, Attorney Moore was employed by Harlow Law Firm in Grenada where he was engaged in the general practice of law and also served as Assistant City Prosecutor for the City of Grenada from 2002-2006. Licensed to practice before state and federal Courts in Mississippi and Tennessee as well as before the United States Supreme Court, Carlos is the recipient of many honors including being named the 2007-08 Outstanding Young Lawyer of Mississippi by The Mississippi Bar Young Lawyers Division (1st African-American to ever receive the award in its then twenty-six-year history) and being named in 1998 as an Outstanding Young Man of America.
Carlos has also been the recipient of three NBA Presidential Awards, the NBA Young Lawyers Division was named Outstanding Division under his chairmanship in 2008, and most recently in 2010 he received the Meritorious Service Award from the NBA Young Lawyers Division as well as was named a 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 “Rising Star” in the Mid-South Super Lawyers magazine. In 2012, Carlos was named a White House Fellows Regional Finalist, ranking in the top 100 of approximately 1000 fellowship applicants nationwide and named Young Lawyer of the Year by the National Bar Association. Moore served as inaugural president and has been a founding member of the National Law Group, a consortium of plaintiff law firms across the country, since 2010, and is most noted for winning a $12 million jury verdict for a deserving client in 2010, just 4 years to the day after opening his own law practice. Moore is also a 2013 graduate of the Collaborative Bar Leadership Academy.
Most recently, in 2013, Moore was named Attorney of the Month and appeared on the June 2013 cover of Attorney at Law Magazine, Mississippi edition. In October of 2013, Moore was named the City Prosecutor for the Town of Webb, Mississippi, and in December 2013 Carlos became a graduate of Leadership Mississippi. In the summer of 2014 Moore was named a Trailblazer Under 40 by the National Bar Association, received the NBA Presidential Fred D. Gray Legacy Award, was honored with the NBA Solo and Small Firms Division prestigious Esquire Award, and completed his term as Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of The Mississippi Bar. In January of 2015, Moore received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the Southern Region Black Law Students Association and in May of 2015, Moore was named to the board of directors for the Foundation for The Mid-South. In November of 2015, Moore was named Prosecutor for the Town of Vaiden, Mississippi. Most recently, Moore was named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and was appointed to the ABA Council on Racial & Ethnic Diversity in the Educational Pipeline by then American Bar Association President Paulette Brown. In December 2017, Moore was named City Attorney for Jonestown, Mississippi and in April of 2018, Moore was named City Attorney for Drew, Mississippi.
