“In this time of urgency and need, our association has been very pleased by the response provided by the terrific staff of the Foundation for the Mid South, which enabled the coordination necessary for the immediate establishment of this special relief fund for videographers affected by the Gulf Coast catastrophe,” said WEVA International Chairman Roy Chapman.

"We appreciate the generous spirit of WEVA members, and look forward to working with the association's Disaster Response Committee to help videographers in the region who were devastated by Hurricane Katrina," said George Penick, president of the Foundation for the Mid South.

“Our Committee has already begun hearing from fellow videographers affected by Katrina who urgently need our help and support,” said Sudall. “The VID Fund will enable financial assistance to reach videographers directly.”

Sudall added that, “If you are a professional videographer in need of assistance and would like to be contacted with information about how to get help, please send an email to the WEVA Disaster Response Committee at >>> DRC@weva.com
