The Avon Foundation Housing Program Fund >>> DOWNLOAD PRESS RELEASE
To provide critical support through the nonprofit organizations of the Mid South region that are working to build just
and equitable housing options with a special preference for those programs that address housing for
women who are heads of households in the aftermath of the hurricanes.
Grant awards typically ranged from $10,000 to $50,000.
The request for proposal was designed to provide grants of up to $50,000 to support nonprofits' efforts in addressing an equitable recovery and restoration process. Nonprofits have been greatly impacted by the hurricanes and are in need of assistance if they are to be able to assist families in the rebuilding of the region. Funding for Housing Program grants were supported by the Avon Foundation as part of their commitment to effectively respond to national and international disasters. The Avon Foundation has a fifty-year history of supporting women and their issues.
Guidelines – Requests for Avon Foundation Housing Program funds should clearly demonstrate how the organization would rebuild their community's housing while promoting the racial, social, and economic equity during the hurricane recovery and restoration process.
